Wann: 24.4., 17.30–19.30 Uhr

Beitrag: € 25,– (vor Ort zu zahlen)

Hatha Yoga with Meditation, Pranayama and Philosophy

“Knowing What We Practice”

A weekend workshop with Emil E. Wendel and Anouk Aoun

Please be aware that the workshop will be taught in English! This Viennese weekend is an opportunity for those of you who want to meet Anouk and Emil, and experience their teachings – it is their first course in Vienna. Anouk and Emil will introduce us to some of their Hatha practices and the history of the underlying ideas that have shaped Yoga. Over the last many years, they have also worked extensively on bringing a rewarding Pranayama and meditation routine to their teacher trainings and retreats.

We recommend this workshop for Yoga teachers and regular practitioners, but all Yogins who are willing to explore the field within and beyond the physical postures will benefit from participation. The Saturday workshop on Philosophy is open for separate booking, in case you cannot attend the Hatha Yoga physical components.

Emil E. Wendel has been living in Asia since the mid-seventies, studying Indian thought as well as Chinese classical philosophy. He was a resident of Nepal and India for 25 years and still spends time there every year. Wherever he shares his learning - in the many teacher training courses and retreats - there is a refreshing glimpse into the treasures of the yogic tradition, both the physical, ritual and contemplative. www.beyond-the-asana.com

Anouk Aoun Wendel has been living in a variety of countries since birth, yet it was the cultural-spiritual encounters with Nepal, India and Indonesia that have added a particular richness to her understanding. She has been practicing Yoga for twenty years and teaching for ten years. Since 2010 she teaches modules of Asana, Pranayama and meditation, and also Restorative Yoga at teacher trainings in India and Bali. www.anoukaoun.com
